    First ever V-day that didnt completely suck...

    Usually, like most people, I am completely anti-Valentines Day. This is my first ever Valentines not being single and now, and it was a nice day and all, but i still dont see the big deal. Though I am absolutely thrilled that my boyfriend got me the Chronicles of Riddick Trilogy DVD (and a big red stuffed Bear.) We just hung out at his house, watched Riddick and played DDR on his PS3, and I totally beat him (because I am just that good.) Still, I think Valentines day just gives guys an excuse to be romantic one day out of the year, and then immediately after, they go right back to their videogames, tv, or whatever.

  • Public Criminal Records

    I just spent half an hour going around in circles trying to look up the criminal records of someone suspicious, and every time i got to a different website, it either took me back to this one paysite, or it took me to a different paysite. I swear I've been told there are websites out there where you can check for criminals or sex offenders or whatever in your area. I think they are even government sponsored. So then WHY is it so hard to find? This is ridiculous.

    The internet is most definetly not the best thing ever invented. Theres so much JUNK!

  • Wuthering heights

    It cracks me up every time i watch that music video of Wuthering Heights. Hehehe, Its me, I'm Cathy. I've come home. It's so co-o-o-old.

    Yeah, and it still sucks that in order to get to the internet, I have to either freeze my butt off standing on my porch with it snowing outside, or now i've discovered that I get a very low signal in my living room...but only if i hold my laptop up as high as i can. It's funny to watch, but a pain to do.

    Ah, and mi amore and I have reached our 5 month anniversary about a week ago. Huzzah.

    I think I'll write a story this week. Maybe something along the lines of Brave New World, or 1984, with McDonalds as the ruler. That would be interesting. (But I tried their new McCafe mocha thingy and its pretty good, though somewhat pricy.)

  • Black Friday Shopping

    Ugh. I had to work from 9-12 on the morning of Black Friday!!! :O Good think I dont work at a department store or anything like that.  Afterwards I did some shopping with my mother. Got some nice manga from Borders. Claymore volume 13 (for K's christmas gift) and Foxy Lady (for me because it had a fox girl on the cover and it looked cute.) and some random candy they had there.

    Then K and I went shopping at the mall. I....uhh.... I've never taken a guy shopping before, I didnt really know what the social ettiquet was. I felt so bad when I dragged him with me into Wet Seal  with me because I had been told by a friend that they had some. I... had no idea they had such a large selection of undies.... yeah, I was smart enough to let him run out of there in alarm and fear.  It was so cute. Later we headed over to gamestop and he bought me some (ancient) games for my (ancient, but the newest game system I have) Gameboy Advanced SP. And since they had a buy 2 games, get one free, he got a game too. We couldnt play the DDR because some people were hogging it. >.< I really wanted to play....

    Then we watched Twilight. Yeah...I dont wanna talk about it.....

    Now I am watching a video making fun of twilight and I am feeling much better.

    Movie Review: Twilight

    Twilight report card:

    Storyline: B+
    Acting: F
    Vampire Hottness: C
    Special Effects: D-
    Overall: C-

    Yeah. Let's just say I wasnt too impressed. I read the book three years ago, waaay before all this Twilight hysteria. I swear, people are insane. Whoever chose the actors for this movie must have been mental. The girl who played bella was just HORRIBLE. I think that I could even do a better job....and I am the complete ANTITHESIS of a good actor. (I went to see it with my boyfriend, and he kept saying that throughout the entire movie, she looked like she was err.... a bit too happy around edward. And breathing WAAAAY too much. It seemed like a miracle she kept her pants on.....)

    I liked whoever it was that played Alice. I was diasppointed that Jasper didnt get more of the spotlight. Not even any mention of his background! Grrr... And as for the special effects.... Edward is supposed to be WAAAY more sparkly.... And in general the makeup was just so weird....it reminded me somewhat of Edward Scizzorhands. Ahh...now THERES a good movie.

    Maybe the movie would have been better if my popcorn hadn't tasted like it was a year old.....
